Real Estate

Expected starting in autumn 2010, our master's programme in Real Estate will offer a four-semester, practically orientated evening programme. The programme targets the following groups:

  • People who have already completed a degree and gained experience in the real estate sector and would like to earn additional qualifications through university education in this field
  • Graduates with degrees in business/economics and law with experience in the real estate sector
  • People who wish to take on a leading role in a company or to start their own businesses in real estate management

The master's programme offers a sound combination of theory and practice. In particular, the fields of business, law and engineering (with a focus on the construction industry) are combined, as are due diligence, portfolio management and real estate controlling. Students will gain the skills necessary to develop large-scale real estate projects, lead employees, and advise and look after key clients effectively and professionally.

Upon completing the programme, students are awarded the academic degree of "Master of Arts in Business (MA)".

Our master's programme is distinguished by a large share of classes which are directly relevant to real estate and are taught by renowned practitioners in the field. The unique advantage for our graduates is that they gain in-depth specialist knowledge as well as the opportunity to establish valuable professional contacts even as they study.

The master's programme consists largely of integrated classes in order to prepare students specifically for the challenges they will face in practice. In this context, workshops to develop the students' communication and social skills play a decisive role.

In the final semester of study, students write a master's thesis and take a cumulative diploma examination.
