Knowledge Management

Starting in autumn 2007, the diploma programme in Knowledge Management will be offered as a three-year bachelor's degree programme in Human Resources & Knowledge Management [3].* Students currently enrolled in the diploma programmes will be able to complete their studies and will not be affected by the transition.

This eight-semester programme leads to the degree of Magister/Magistra (FH) for professions in business and economics and trains students to identify, develop and leverage knowledge in the corporate world.

The programme's interdisciplinary approach (business, technology and social skills) makes it a highly unique course of study in Austria and ensures that graduates can successfully bridge the frequently problematic gap between IT and management. The field of organisational development forms the third pillar of the programme.
From the sixth semester onward, students can choose among the following specialist options:

  • Customer-orientated knowledge transfer for cultural institutions and non-profit organisations
  • Staff-orientated knowledge transfer

The diploma programme in Knowledge Management is only offered as an evening programme. In order to enable working professionals to study without interrupting their careers, classes are held in the evening or at the weekend. The schedule calls for an average of 16 hours per week.

The degree programme in Knowledge Management was established in 2003 with a total of 55 students per year.
