History
Our first degree programme in Tourism Management was launched in 1994. Since then, we have established seven additional UAS degree programmes, all of which which made the transition to the internationally recognised bachelor's/master's degree system in 2007.
Thus our portfolio now comprises eight degree programmes, the majority of which are offered as both full-time and part-time courses.
Austria's largest provider of university of applied sciences (UAS) degree programmes in the fields of management and communications
The FHWien University of Applied Sciences of WKW is one of the leading providers of UAS degree programmes for management and communications in the nation. Over 2,400 students are currently enrolled in one of our Magister (FH), Bachlor's (BA) or master's (MA) degree programmes. Furthermore, roughly 2,800 graduates are already demonstrating the quality of our programmes in the business world.
Close cooperation with the business world
Practical relevance is a central feature of our organisation: 80 percent of our lecturers are active in the professional world, bringing this experience directly to the classroom. Not only do we foster students' real-world skills through close cooperation with Austrian businesses, but we offer opportunities for professional placement as well.
Full-time and part-time programmes
In addition to full-time programmes, the FHWien University of Applied Sciences of WKW also offers part-time, or evening programmes which give working professionals the opportunity to earn an academic degree in a short time. Part-time programme classes are usually held on weekday evenings and occasionally on weekends.
